Friends of Clarke Gardens & Allerton Tower held their inaugural meeting in December 2004, at Allerton Hall, currently the 'Pub in the Park' located within the grounds of Clarke Gardens. It was agreed that the Eric Hardy Nature Reserve, and the award-winning Springwood Crematorium, would be included as part of their remit.
